Invited by www.kunstonline.info and www.lineart.be I will show the installation L.A.U.R.Y.L.D.I.M.E.T.H.Y.L.B.E.N.Z.Y.L.A.M.M.O.N.I.U.M.
C.H.L.O.R.I.D.E on the Lineart art fair in Ghent from 2/12 till 6/12.

In the two passageways forming the main entrance to the expo halls, I will lay red carpet (2 meter wide). Everybody entering the building cannot avoid treading on these red carpets, on which I will paint letters, words, symbols or drawings. The carpet will be lightly drenched in water and, to add to the illusion of it being disinfectant, four odorsprayers in each corner of the passageway will emit a harmless, lightly disinfectant odor. Additionallly four more sprayers will emit a refreshing perfume every time someone enters or at regular intervals. The ancient ritual of washing feet is thus upgraded to the 'modern' desinfecting carpet used to prevent the spreading of cow's disease and bird flue. The visitor will thus 'cleanly' enter AND leave the renewed Lineart exhibition.
